Steuben County Emergency Management Agency asks you to help your family and your community to be safer, stronger and better prepared to respond to any kind of disaster.
The Steuben County Emergency Management Agency is tasked with coordinating and making preparations for any natural or man-made disaster, thereby saving lives, avoiding injury, and minimizing economic loss. The Emergency Management Agency also has the responsibility of making sure these plans are kept up-to-date. Each County is required by law to have an Emergency Management Director and a County Emergency Operations Plan that addresses the problems and consequences that are caused from all types of hazards.
Steuben County Emergency Management also keeps on file the TIER II Forms. This form is required to be filled out yearly by facilities that store Hazardous Materials that meet the required reportable quantity set by the Federal Government. The LEPC Board is comprised of representatives from the Emergency Medical Service, Health Department, Hospital, News Media, Fire Department, Schools, and Industrial, etc.
